Your safari starts in Nairobi, driving to Lake Naivasha, the highest and only freshwater lake in the otherwise saline lakes in the Great Rift Valley. Settle at Chui Lodge, situated on the private Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary. Once settled in the splendorous luxury of Chui Lodge, the Sanctuary becomes exclusively yours to explore and enjoy. Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary is home to 45 different mammals where leopard & aardvark are a regular sighting. Beside private game drives in the Sanctuary you will also visit Hell’s Gate National Park. This Park is truly unique, as it allows you to walk or cycle among grazing zebras, towering giraffes, galloping gazelles and massive eland antelopes. The scenery here is dramatic, with rich ochre soil and savannah grasses squeezed between looming cliffs of rusty columnar basalt. You will also search for hippos and bird species during a one hour boat drive on the Lake Naivasha.
You will continue your journey to Lake Nakuru, which is an ornithological paradise with over 400 species found here. The lake is world renown for its masses of flamingos and is often referred to as the “pink lake”. Besides the hundreds of species of birds, you’ll probably see other game like warthogs, impalas, waterbucks, zebras, buffalos, leopards and endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. The park is also known for its white rhino which are one of the most endangered species in Africa.
Your next destination, the Masai Mara National Reserve, is said to be one of the world’s finest game-viewing destinations. The richness of the fauna and flora and the untouched life of Africa, continuing as it has for thousands of years, is only secondary to the Mara's annual migration of wildebeest.
This safari ends in Nairobi, but you can easily extend it to the sandy beaches of Indian Ocean.
