Day 1: Arrive to Kigali latest 2 pm. Met by your driver-guide at the Kigali airport and proceed to northern Rwanda to the town of Ruhengeri (The town is just re named “Musanze”). It is three to four hours drive. Spend the late afternoon “at leisure” hopefully with some clear vies of the volcanoes.
Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (D)
Day 2: Today is your Gorilla Trek day! After early breakfast, your driver will pick you up and proceed to the national park head quarters for signing in, followed by short briefing from your gorilla guide from the National Park. At 8.00 am depart with your driver and your vehicle to the starting point of the trek where your driver will wait for you while you do the trek with your Gorilla Guide from the Rwanda National Park authority “ORTPN”. Travelling time from Park headquarters to starting point is 30 min to 1 ½ hours. Remember to bring plenty of drinking water and some “energizers” for your Gorilla trek!
Return from the gorilla trek between 12.00 and 15.00 pm and drive back to your lodge for lunch.
Then proceed back to Kigali arriving early evening hours.
Overnight at Laico Kigali Hotel (B,L).
Day 3: Breakfast at the hotel. At 08.30 am you will be picked up from the hotel and proceed on a Kigali city tour including a visit to the “Gisozi Genocide Memorial Center”.
After the city tour you will be dropped at the airport for your flight out of Kigali. (B)
