 | Mt. Kilimanjaro climb with lodging safari and beach holidays
Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in 15 days
After your arrival in Kenya, you will spend two days on safari in one of the biggest national parks in Africa, Tsavo National Park, which offers excellent safaris away from the tourist crowds. After you are properly acclimatised to the local climate, you will make your way to the base in the town of Moshi, from where you’ll head out to tackle the forbidding Kilimanjaro.

|
Despite its size, this volcanic creation is uniquely accessible to the trekking community. From a small village, you set forth on your six day conquest of the mountain, which culminates with a spectacular view over Africa, as you watch the approaching dawn on Africa’s highest peak (5.896m)! With this itinerary, the Marangu route is used. It is the only route with huts on the way and where an extra day is given as acclimatization is the key for your successful climb. The mountain expedition is led by qualified mountain guides, porters and cooks.
You will finish your perfect adventure with a few relaxing days by the warm Indian Ocean.
Please note
that this is just an example of a itinerary. We may change,
shorten or extend this safari according to your specific wishes and
needs.

The combined area of Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks makes Tsavo one of the world's largest game sanctuaries, covering an area of more than 20,000 sq. km (7,722 sq. miles).
Tsavo is a combination of dramatic escarpment landscapes combined with the raw, untamed flavour of one of Africa's great wilderness areas.
As well as lions and cheetahs, there are many species of antelopes (oryx, kudu, Grant’s gazelle and giraffe gazelle), as well as Burchell’s zebras, Maasai giraffe, baboons and vervets. Among the birdlife, the most impressive is the Maasai ostrich. Where there is water, such as at Mzima Springs, crocodiles and hippos can be seen. Pinewood
Village Beach Resort 3*** to 4****
The
hotel is situated directly on the beautiful, white sandy beach. It is
the last hotel on Diani Beach along a stretch of 20 km of sandy
beaches. Its isolated location is why it’s so special, as
this
hotel enjoys a really peaceful atmosphere, and the beach there is
almost empty with no hotels nearby. This resort is highly recommended
to all nature loving people as well as for families with small
children.
It
is a smaller hotel with a swimming pool, tennis court, restaurant,
beach bar and snack bar. The hotel is host to one of the best centers
in Diani for water sports including surfing, kiting, snorkelling,
diving, and big sea fishing.
You
can choose between a standard room or a suite. All standard rooms
have a veranda, air conditioning, ceiling fan and bathroom with
toilet and shower. Suites are bigger with a living room, minibar,
telephone and kitchen where your personal cook will cook and serve
dinner just for you. Standard room guests will have dinner in the
restaurant.
Day 12 - 14: Diani Beach
This is your time for rest and relaxation on the white, sandy beaches of Diani. You can simply read a book under a palm tree, do some water activities or shop around for African souvenirs around Diani.
On your request, we can organize some short trips for you which are very worthwhile.
Recommended trips:
-
Shimoni,
a small Swahili town not far
from the Tanzanian border, is
the starting point for a visit to the Kisite Mpunguti Marine National
Park. Your experience begins as the traditional dhow slips gently
away from the jetty. Enjoy a fascinating guided snorkeling experience
in Kisite’s imposing reef system, home to dolphins, turtles
and an
enormous variety of coral life and hundreds of species of beautifully
coloured tropical fish. The journey here in a dhow, followed by a
seafood lunch on Wasini Island, makes it one of those days you will
remember for a lifetime. You
can either choose snorkeling or scuba diving.
-
Mombasa is Kenya's second largest city and
the oldest - with a history that stretches back some 2,000 years.
Mombasa is a mystical mixture of the ancient and the modern, with a
cosmopolitan population blending Africa, Europe, Arabia and Asia.
Fringing the dhow harbour is Old Town, a maze of narrow streets and
pedestrian lanes lined with quaint shuttered houses and open-fronted
shops. The smell of spices is always present.
-
The Colobus Trust is a Kenyan conservation
organization established in 1997. The Trust was established to conserve
and protect Diani’s primates, particularly the endangered
black and white Angolan colobus monkey and their environment. It is a
unique opportunity to view wild monkeys in their natural environment in
a small patch of forest just on Diani Beach. During a short walk along
the Trust’s nature trail, you will also be able to track
other Diani primates including sykes, vervets and yellow baboons.
Day 15: Mombasa – Airport
Transfer to Moi International Airport in Mombasa from where you will continue to your next destination.
